the power of WORDS

i was just noticing some pictures that the YWAM base i lived at for a few months put up...and i kind of love this :)
they did a wall mural in the city of Puerto Madryn, Argentina on the power of words.
in case you don't speak spanish - it says "your words can hurt or heal".

Proverbs 12:17-19
Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence,
but a false witness utters deceit.
There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Truthful lips endure forever,
but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

powerful verses...the words that come out of our mouths - WILL hurt or they WILL heal. its not whether or not they'll have an effect...we dont have control over that.
so we need to be aware of what is coming out of our mouths...
use our words to encourage, build up, love, heal - bring TRUTH into this world!
